Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Media, Transport and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Borr Drilling Ltd (OL:BORR), which rose 1.67% or 1.20 points to trade at 73.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL) added 1.45% or 2.05 points to end at 143.70 and Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD) was up 1.43% or 2.20 points to 156.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orkla ASA (OL:ORK), which fell 1.28% or 1.15 points to trade at 88.70 at the close. Aker BP ASA (OL:AKRBP) declined 1.17% or 3.10 points to end at 262.00 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was down 1.08% or 0.72 points to 65.76.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 144 to 131 and 38 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.43% or 2.20 to 156.50.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.92% or 0.74 to $80.10 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.78% or 0.66 to hit $84.19 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.16% or 28.20 to trade at $2,457.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.06% to 11.79, while USD/NOK rose 0.21% to 10.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 104.13.
