Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Utilities and Auto & components sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 8.76% or 10.55 points to trade at 131.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) added 2.09% or 0.79 points to end at 38.56 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) was up 2.02% or 8.60 points to 434.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 8.71% or 4.02 points to trade at 42.51 at the close. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) declined 4.16% or 6.9 points to end at 159.1 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was down 1.89% or 0.31 points to 16.07.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 106 to 75 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) fell to 52-week lows; falling 8.71% or 4.02 to 42.51.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.91% or 1.55 to $54.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.98% or 1.21 to hit $62.41 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1309.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.33% to 9.6776, while USD/NOK fell 0.21% to 8.4769.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 95.618.
