Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Materials and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Telenor ASA (OL:TEL), which rose 1.68% or 2.7 points to trade at 163.2 at the close. Meanwhile, Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) added 0.56% or 2.1 points to end at 376.0 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) was up 0.19% or 0.35 points to 184.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which fell 4.91% or 1.58 points to trade at 30.96 at the close. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) declined 2.60% or 0.02 points to end at 0.68 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) was down 1.95% or 1.10 points to 55.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 99 to 87 and 24 ended unchanged.
Shares in REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) fell to 5-year lows; losing 2.60% or 0.02 to 0.68.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.49% or 1.75 to $68.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.84% or 1.47 to hit $78.27 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.27% or 3.30 to trade at $1207.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.01% to 9.6027, while USD/NOK fell 0.42% to 8.2250.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 94.62.
