Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Media, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY), which rose 2.76% or 1.65 points to trade at 61.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 2.09% or 0.26 points to end at 12.71 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was up 2.00% or 3.8 points to 193.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which fell 6.73% or 16.6 points to trade at 229.9 at the close. Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) declined 3.45% or 7.30 points to end at 204.50 and Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV) was down 2.91% or 2.15 points to 71.85.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 98 to 75 and 36 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.09% or 1.19 to $58.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.96% or 0.60 to hit $63.17 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.75% or 9.58 to trade at $1291.28 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.16% to 9.6529, while USD/NOK fell 0.26% to 8.1890.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.49% at 93.43.
