Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Commercial Service And Supplies and Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 4.20% or 1.88 points to trade at 46.68 at the close. Meanwhile, Elkem ASA (OL:ELK) added 4.11% or 0.96 points to end at 24.30 and BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO) was up 2.62% or 1.350 points to 52.950 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Yara International ASA (OL:YAR), which fell 3.12% or 13.0 points to trade at 403.4 at the close. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) declined 2.17% or 4.0 points to end at 182.5 and Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM) was down 1.66% or 4.80 points to 285.27.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 112 to 95 and 37 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.65% or 1.53 to $59.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.02% or 1.30 to hit $65.58 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 2.75 to trade at $1415.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.39% to 9.6580, while USD/NOK fell 0.55% to 8.4854.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 95.627.
