Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 2.07% or 0.75 points to trade at 37.04 at the close. Meanwhile, Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) added 1.21% or 2.10 points to end at 176.10 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) was up 1.19% or 4.60 points to 391.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 9.98% or 30.00 points to trade at 270.70 at the close. Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI) declined 5.72% or 5.50 points to end at 90.70 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was down 2.79% or 0.42 points to 14.66.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 101 to 72 and 30 ended unchanged.
Shares in Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.07% or 0.75 to 37.04.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.05% or 1.40 to $69.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.73% or 1.27 to hit $74.89 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 1.10 to trade at $1311.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.21% to 9.6273, while USD/NOK rose 0.19% to 8.0616.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 92.51.
