Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Transport and Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 4.30% or 0.05 points to trade at 1.12 at the close. Meanwhile, Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) added 2.43% or 0.92 points to end at 38.74 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) was up 1.87% or 1.10 points to 60.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 7.75% or 18.8 points to trade at 223.7 at the close. P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) declined 2.72% or 8.30 points to end at 296.50 and Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV) was down 2.50% or 1.90 points to 73.95.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 88 to 79 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) rose to 5-year highs; up 1.87% or 1.10 to 60.05.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.30% or 1.04 to $46.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.05% or 0.98 to hit $48.77 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.14% or 1.73 to trade at $1223.43 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.10% to 9.5348, while USD/NOK fell 0.39% to 8.3575.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 95.65.
