Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Real Estate sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE), which rose 5.41% or 1.7 points to trade at 33.1 at the close. Meanwhile, REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) added 2.16% or 0.04 points to end at 1.90 and Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) was up 1.05% or 0.80 points to 77.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which fell 3.11% or 0.3 points to trade at 9.3 at the close. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) declined 1.08% or 3.2 points to end at 292.4 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) was down 0.48% or 0.3 points to 73.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 97 to 73 and 24 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.37% or 0.18 to $49.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.58% or 0.29 to hit $50.01 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.06% or 0.70 to trade at $1214.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.09% to 9.3002, while USD/NOK rose 0.40% to 8.3385.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.12% at 95.53.
