Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Banking and Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 3.00%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 14.27% or 3.6 points to trade at 29.1 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 10.48% or 2.07 points to end at 21.82 and Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) was up 9.12% or 2.69 points to 32.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which fell 3.67% or 0.3 points to trade at 8.4 at the close. Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) declined 1.08% or 1.50 points to end at 137.60 and Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) was 0.00% or 0.00 points to 92.55.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 131 to 37 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.90% or 1.34 to $47.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 3.18% or 1.50 to hit $48.69 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.60% or 7.75 to trade at $1290.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.16% to 9.4351, while USD/NOK fell 0.14% to 8.3800.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.35% at 94.44.
