Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Diversified Financials and Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 2.28%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 8.71% or 1.41 points to trade at 17.54 at the close. Meanwhile, Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI) added 8.05% or 5.35 points to end at 71.80 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was up 6.49% or 15.40 points to 252.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA), which fell 0.36% or 1.60 points to trade at 440.20 at the close. Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) added 0.36% or 0.40 points to end at 110.40 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) was up 0.38% or 0.24 points to 62.62.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 147 to 43 and 16 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 4.27% or 2.20 to $53.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 4.46% or 2.68 to hit $62.74 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.59% or 7.30 to trade at $1250.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.28% to 9.6648, while USD/NOK fell 0.38% to 8.4852.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 96.662.
