Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Energy and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 2.01%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which rose 4.96% or 0.48 points to trade at 10.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Statoil ASA (OL:STL) added 4.61% or 8.1 points to end at 182.6 and Questerre Energy Corporation (OL:QEC) was up 3.87% or 0.21 points to 5.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 2.10% or 4.3 points to trade at 200.5 at the close. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) declined 0.86% or 3.1 points to end at 358.0 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was down 0.75% or 0.42 points to 55.25.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 146 to 39 and 17 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 2.38% or 1.51 to $61.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.78% or 1.19 to hit $65.67 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.63% or 8.40 to trade at $1321.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.04% to 9.6777, while USD/NOK rose 0.86% to 7.8838.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.67% at 90.12.
