Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.83%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were SalMar ASA (OL:SALM), which rose 2.86% or 17.00 points to trade at 612.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) added 2.85% or 8.30 points to end at 299.10 and Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD) was up 2.80% or 3.55 points to 130.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which fell 3.12% or 0.18 points to trade at 5.53 at the close. Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO) declined 0.45% or 0.50 points to end at 111.20 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) was up 0.63% or 1.20 points to 193.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 217 to 62 and 33 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.91% or 2.13 to $75.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.60% or 1.99 to hit $78.47 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.32% or 7.80 to trade at $2,439.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 1.49% to 11.76, while USD/NOK fell 1.42% to 10.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 102.93.
