Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Auto & components, Telecoms and Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.82%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO), which rose 4.76% or 2.000 points to trade at 44.000 at the close. Meanwhile, TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) added 3.12% or 7.8 points to end at 258.2 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was up 2.76% or 7.80 points to 290.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which fell 4.31% or 0.90 points to trade at 20.00 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 2.77% or 3.55 points to end at 124.70 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was down 0.23% or 0.10 points to 43.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 107 to 70 and 32 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.26% or 0.69 to $53.87 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.45% or 0.28 to hit $62.23 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.75 to trade at $1317.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.01% to 9.6768, while USD/NOK rose 0.32% to 8.4858.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 95.852.
