Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Energy and Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.79%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP), which rose 4.94% or 11.20 points to trade at 237.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 3.85% or 2.10 points to end at 56.60 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 3.64% or 0.49 points to 13.79 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL), which fell 1.19% or 0.55 points to trade at 45.86 at the close. Aker ASA (OL:AKER) added 0.71% or 3.5 points to end at 498.5 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) was up 0.72% or 1.1 points to 146.7.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 129 to 58 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 4.12% or 2.20 to $55.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 2.85% or 1.78 to hit $64.31 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.41% or 5.00 to trade at $1226.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.42% to 9.7109, while USD/NOK fell 0.63% to 8.5315.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 96.655.
