Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Diversified Financials and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.64%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 7.04% or 0.450 points to trade at 6.765 at the close. Meanwhile, Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) added 6.49% or 2.36 points to end at 38.72 and Elkem ASA (OL:ELK) was up 4.24% or 0.90 points to 22.12 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telenor ASA (OL:TEL), which rose 0.16% or 0.3 points to trade at 187.0 at the close. Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM) added 0.31% or 0.80 points to end at 255.40 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) was up 0.36% or 0.30 points to 82.98.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 144 to 65 and 23 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.24% or 0.69 to $56.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.55% or 0.33 to hit $60.26 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.84% or 12.95 to trade at $1536.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.34% to 10.0547, while USD/NOK rose 0.59% to 9.0995.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 98.438.
