Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Energy, Banking and Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.60% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP), which rose 4.18% or 11.80 points to trade at 293.20 at the close. Meanwhile, DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) added 4.09% or 0.72 points to end at 18.34 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was up 3.54% or 11.8 points to 345.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 1.38% or 1.05 points to trade at 74.72 at the close. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) declined 0.79% or 3.40 points to end at 425.20 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) was 0.45% or 0.00 points to 0.78.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 93 to 78 and 32 ended unchanged.
Shares in DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) rose to 3-years highs; up 4.09% or 0.72 to 18.34. Shares in TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) rose to all time highs; rising 3.54% or 11.8 to 345.4.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.43% or 0.30 to $69.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.94% or 0.69 to hit $74.44 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 2.80 to trade at $1220.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.35% to 9.5037, while USD/NOK fell 0.70% to 8.1964.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 94.96.
