Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Auto & components, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.49%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 6.88% or 0.550 points to trade at 8.550 at the close. Meanwhile, BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO) added 3.61% or 1.600 points to end at 45.980 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MOWI) was up 3.49% or 6.70 points to 198.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL), which fell 1.19% or 0.48 points to trade at 39.75 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 0.36% or 0.14 points to end at 38.51 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was up 0.47% or 0.08 points to 17.07.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 153 to 60 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nel ASA (OL:NEL) rose to 5-year highs; up 6.88% or 0.550 to 8.550.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.45% or 0.28 to $61.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.75% or 0.53 to hit $70.92 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.27% or 3.45 to trade at $1288.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.46% to 9.8023, while USD/NOK fell 0.64% to 8.7256.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 97.067.
