Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Diversified Financials and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.46% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO), which rose 6.27% or 2.750 points to trade at 46.600 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 4.84% or 0.94 points to end at 20.24 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was up 4.37% or 10.7 points to 255.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 2.41% or 2.40 points to trade at 99.10 at the close. Nel ASA (OL:NEL) declined 0.46% or 0.030 points to end at 5.360 and Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) was down 0.09% or 0.10 points to 115.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 122 to 60 and 30 ended unchanged.
Shares in Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) fell to 5-year lows; losing 2.41% or 2.40 to 99.10.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.17% or 1.18 to $55.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.25% or 1.45 to hit $66.02 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.43% or 5.65 to trade at $1319.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.21% to 9.7467, while USD/NOK unchanged 0.00% to 8.6481.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 96.912.
