Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Utilities, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Media sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.35%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV), which rose 6.57% or 5.05 points to trade at 81.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) added 3.71% or 4.0 points to end at 111.7 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 2.96% or 0.35 points to 12.17 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 3.25% or 6.5 points to trade at 193.8 at the close. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) declined 0.67% or 0.01 points to end at 1.04 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) was down 0.06% or 0.1 points to 157.1.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 113 to 73 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.96% or 0.35 to 12.17.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.70% or 1.24 to $47.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 3.59% or 1.82 to hit $52.55 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.69% or 9.11 to trade at $1323.21 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.43% to 9.2424, while USD/NOK fell 0.44% to 7.7738.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 92.76.
