Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Diversified Financials and Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.23%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC), which rose 3.42% or 3.6 points to trade at 110.3 at the close. Meanwhile, Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) added 3.03% or 1.06 points to end at 36.01 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was up 2.68% or 6.3 points to 241.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 8.57% or 3.77 points to trade at 40.23 at the close. P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) declined 1.59% or 6.80 points to end at 420.00 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) was down 0.23% or 0.4 points to 172.3.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 130 to 83 and 25 ended unchanged.
Shares in Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) fell to 5-year lows; falling 8.57% or 3.77 to 40.23.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.70% or 1.02 to $61.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.72% or 1.16 to hit $68.74 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.23% or 3.05 to trade at $1295.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.43% to 9.6321, while USD/NOK fell 0.32% to 8.5944.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 96.833.
