Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.17% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 16.34% or 2.68 points to trade at 19.08 at the close. Meanwhile, DnB ASA (OL:DNB) added 3.26% or 5.0 points to end at 157.0 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was up 2.21% or 4.4 points to 203.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 3.36% or 6.6 points to trade at 189.9 at the close. Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) declined 1.28% or 1.10 points to end at 84.74 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was down 1.15% or 0.12 points to 9.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 104 to 68 and 34 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.75% or 0.46 to $62.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.27% or 0.18 to hit $68.02 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 2.00 to trade at $1320.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.02% to 9.7407, while USD/NOK fell 0.39% to 8.0737.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 91.66.
