Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Energy, Media and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.16% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP), which rose 6.24% or 10.80 points to trade at 184.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) added 3.57% or 4.7 points to end at 136.0 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) was up 2.67% or 1.17 points to 44.97 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which fell 10.28% or 1.45 points to trade at 12.65 at the close. DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) declined 5.53% or 0.57 points to end at 9.73 and BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) was down 1.20% or 0.38 points to 31.22.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 104 to 82 and 24 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) rose to all time highs; gaining 6.24% or 10.80 to 184.00. Shares in Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) fell to 5-year lows; losing 10.28% or 1.45 to 12.65.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.22% or 0.12 to $54.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.17% or 0.10 to hit $60.23 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.56% or 7.06 to trade at $1278.86 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.37% to 9.4903, while USD/NOK rose 0.09% to 8.1537.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 94.43.
