Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Diversified Financials, Materials and Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.16%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 6.37% or 0.95 points to trade at 15.87 at the close. Meanwhile, Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) added 4.17% or 2.45 points to end at 61.15 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 3.71% or 0.34 points to 9.51 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which fell 3.71% or 0.05 points to trade at 1.32 at the close. Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV) declined 2.77% or 2.35 points to end at 82.45 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was down 1.83% or 3.2 points to 171.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 101 to 72 and 31 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.29% or 0.17 to $58.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.20% or 0.13 to hit $64.69 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.09% or 1.20 to trade at $1270.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.32% to 9.9518, while USD/NOK fell 0.31% to 8.3843.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 92.89.
