Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Banking and Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.07% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL), which rose 5.89% or 2.27 points to trade at 40.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) added 4.07% or 14.6 points to end at 373.6 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was up 3.18% or 7.4 points to 240.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA), which fell 0.86% or 3.30 points to trade at 382.00 at the close. Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) declined 0.84% or 1.40 points to end at 164.60 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was down 0.56% or 0.09 points to 15.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 97 to 74 and 33 ended unchanged.
Shares in Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) rose to 52-week highs; rising 4.07% or 14.6 to 373.6.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.08% or 0.04 to $51.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $57.22 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.66% or 8.56 to trade at $1281.44 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.06% to 9.4148, while USD/NOK rose 0.85% to 7.9974.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.67% at 93.62.
