Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Auto & components, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.06%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 8.48% or 3.99 points to trade at 51.05 at the close. Meanwhile, SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) added 6.72% or 27.60 points to end at 438.10 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) was up 6.51% or 3.76 points to 61.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 2.88% or 1.05 points to trade at 35.45 at the close. Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM) declined 1.49% or 4.00 points to end at 265.20 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) was down 1.18% or 2.0 points to 167.8.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 109 to 100 and 27 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 4.17% or 2.29 to $57.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 4.92% or 2.88 to hit $61.45 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.29% or 4.40 to trade at $1512.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.75% to 9.9201, while USD/NOK fell 0.49% to 8.8723.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 97.583.
