Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.04%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which rose 5.46% or 5.35 points to trade at 103.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) added 2.99% or 5.30 points to end at 182.40 and Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO) was up 2.87% or 3.70 points to 132.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which fell 6.76% or 0.30 points to trade at 4.20 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS) declined 1.92% or 0.23 points to end at 11.72 and Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM) was down 1.39% or 2.10 points to 148.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 159 to 126 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nel ASA (OL:NEL) fell to 5-year lows; losing 6.76% or 0.30 to 4.20.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.40% or 1.76 to $75.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 2.42% or 1.85 to hit $78.43 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.64% or 16.75 to trade at $2,642.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.40% to 11.75, while USD/NOK fell 0.21% to 10.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 102.77.
