Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Insurance, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.04% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 3.92% or 0.76 points to trade at 20.13 at the close. Meanwhile, Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) added 3.36% or 2.26 points to end at 69.52 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was up 3.07% or 1.30 points to 43.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which fell 0.26% or 0.020 points to trade at 5.795 at the close. BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO) declined 0.23% or 0.100 points to end at 44.200 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) was down 0.18% or 0.12 points to 66.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 121 to 84 and 32 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.46% or 0.27 to $58.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.44% or 0.30 to hit $67.25 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.01% or 13.25 to trade at $1296.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.03% to 9.6933, while USD/NOK rose 0.19% to 8.5773.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 96.738.
