Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Auto & components, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Healthcare Equipment & Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.04%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO), which rose 5.49% or 2.050 points to trade at 39.400 at the close. Meanwhile, DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) added 5.17% or 0.75 points to end at 15.14 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) was up 4.34% or 2.8 points to 66.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 2.23% or 4.05 points to trade at 177.95 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 2.15% or 0.37 points to end at 16.83 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) was down 0.67% or 0.9 points to 134.2.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 106 to 74 and 24 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 4.80% or 2.39 to $52.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 4.16% or 2.44 to hit $61.16 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 3.90 to trade at $1289.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.13% to 9.7654, while USD/NOK fell 0.84% to 8.4756.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 94.958.
