Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Auto & components, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.02%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Telenor ASA (OL:TEL), which rose 2.51% or 4.0 points to trade at 161.3 at the close. Meanwhile, Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) added 2.11% or 6.00 points to end at 290.40 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was up 2.09% or 6.7 points to 327.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 0.72% or 1.70 points to trade at 235.30 at the close. Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) declined 0.50% or 0.3 points to end at 59.3 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) was down 0.17% or 0.2 points to 121.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 113 to 55 and 29 ended unchanged.
Shares in TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.09% or 6.7 to 327.7.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.40% or 0.28 to $69.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.21% or 0.16 to hit $74.70 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1225.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.07% to 9.5423, while USD/NOK rose 0.01% to 8.1905.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 94.49.
