Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.00% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 5.23% or 0.89 points to trade at 17.92 at the close. Meanwhile, Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) added 4.63% or 2.85 points to end at 64.40 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) was up 4.51% or 6.9 points to 160.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which fell 3.38% or 0.04 points to trade at 1.03 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) declined 2.95% or 2.10 points to end at 69.00 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) was down 2.80% or 1.4 points to 50.4.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 92 to 87 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in DnB ASA (OL:DNB) rose to all time highs; rising 4.51% or 6.9 to 160.0.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.06% or 0.03 to $50.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.09% or 0.05 to hit $56.34 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.38% or 18.14 to trade at $1298.26 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.33% to 9.3238, while USD/NOK fell 0.79% to 7.8064.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 91.95.
