Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Diversified Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.97%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which rose 7.52% or 0.68 points to trade at 9.75 at the close. Meanwhile, BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) added 4.73% or 1.56 points to end at 34.54 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was up 3.89% or 0.80 points to 21.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO), which fell 6.29% or 4.50 points to trade at 67.00 at the close. Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI) declined 6.28% or 5.35 points to end at 79.80 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was down 4.96% or 9.6 points to 236.8.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 125 to 65 and 16 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.03% or 0.02 to $60.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.76% or 0.49 to hit $63.87 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.31% or 4.20 to trade at $1353.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.21% to 9.7255, while USD/NOK fell 0.06% to 7.7924.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 88.69.
