Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Energy and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.96%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP), which rose 3.60% or 9.60 points to trade at 276.40 at the close. Meanwhile, P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) added 3.20% or 13.20 points to end at 426.00 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) was up 3.11% or 2.1 points to 68.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 14.60% or 20.60 points to trade at 120.45 at the close. Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) declined 0.95% or 2.9 points to end at 303.9 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) was down 0.67% or 1.0 points to 149.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 99 to 75 and 31 ended unchanged.
Shares in Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) fell to 5-year lows; losing 14.60% or 20.60 to 120.45.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.79% or 1.45 to $53.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.59% or 1.55 to hit $61.36 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 5.25 to trade at $1308.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.08% to 9.7154, while USD/NOK fell 0.08% to 8.5039.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 95.495.
