Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Diversified Financials and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.90%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 9.98% or 0.640 points to trade at 7.050 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 2.83% or 0.45 points to end at 16.20 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 2.73% or 0.41 points to 15.41 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 4.08% or 1.36 points to trade at 32.00 at the close. Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) declined 1.17% or 1.50 points to end at 126.50 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) was down 1.02% or 3.80 points to 370.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 127 to 85 and 24 ended unchanged.
Shares in Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) fell to 5-year lows; losing 4.08% or 1.36 to 32.00.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.38% or 1.25 to $53.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.30% or 1.42 to hit $63.09 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.38% or 5.05 to trade at $1347.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.29% to 9.7691, while USD/NOK fell 0.86% to 8.6142.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 96.465.
