Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Energy, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.86%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 5.75% or 0.69 points to trade at 12.68 at the close. Meanwhile, Elkem ASA (OL:ELK) added 3.68% or 0.86 points to end at 24.24 and BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO) was up 3.30% or 1.600 points to 50.100 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which fell 1.83% or 0.130 points to trade at 6.970 at the close. Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM) declined 1.43% or 3.80 points to end at 261.80 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) was down 0.99% or 0.56 points to 56.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 117 to 92 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) fell to 52-week lows; down 0.99% or 0.56 to 56.00.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.69% or 0.40 to $58.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.74% or 0.48 to hit $65.11 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.42% or 6.00 to trade at $1423.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.15% to 9.7723, while USD/NOK rose 0.37% to 8.7817.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 97.912.
