Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.84% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM), which rose 5.10% or 7.20 points to trade at 148.50 at the close. Meanwhile, SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) added 2.93% or 16.00 points to end at 562.50 and Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) was up 2.66% or 5.50 points to 212.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI), which fell 1.88% or 1.30 points to trade at 67.85 at the close. Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO) declined 1.73% or 1.90 points to end at 108.10 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS) was down 1.56% or 0.16 points to 10.08.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 172 to 111 and 25 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.36% or 1.04 to $77.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.00% or 0.80 to hit $80.72 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.67% or 17.99 to trade at $2,700.29 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.27% to 11.67, while USD/NOK fell 0.26% to 11.33.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 108.79.
