Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Materials, Energy and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.83%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 3.84% or 7.4 points to trade at 200.1 at the close. Meanwhile, Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) added 3.61% or 1.85 points to end at 53.05 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 2.62% or 0.23 points to 9.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA), which fell 2.52% or 8.70 points to trade at 337.00 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 2.21% or 0.34 points to end at 15.04 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was down 1.17% or 0.80 points to 67.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 90 to 88 and 24 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.44% or 0.21 to $47.74 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.33% or 0.17 to hit $51.83 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.31% or 4.08 to trade at $1292.62 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.25% to 9.3086, while USD/NOK rose 0.18% to 7.9123.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 93.37.
