Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Materials, Diversified Financials and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.80%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO), which rose 23.28% or 11.170 points to trade at 59.150 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 4.15% or 0.44 points to end at 10.91 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 4.08% or 1.13 points to 28.84 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 5.97% or 2.31 points to trade at 36.41 at the close. Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MOWI) declined 2.81% or 6.30 points to end at 218.00 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) was down 2.66% or 11.80 points to 432.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 138 to 80 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.50% or 1.42 to $55.29 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.10% or 1.27 to hit $59.22 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.30% or 4.65 to trade at $1532.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.42% to 10.0127, while USD/NOK rose 0.20% to 9.1140.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 98.800.
