Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Auto & components, Telecoms and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.80% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 20.17% or 38.3 points to trade at 228.2 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 5.35% or 1.02 points to end at 19.88 and Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) was up 4.91% or 3.45 points to 73.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which fell 3.13% or 1.16 points to trade at 35.87 at the close. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) declined 1.01% or 0.62 points to end at 60.52 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) was down 0.80% or 1.2 points to 155.8.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 124 to 57 and 24 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.97% or 0.60 to $61.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.62% or 0.42 to hit $67.65 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1322.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.46% to 9.6892, while USD/NOK fell 0.25% to 8.0485.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 91.72.
