Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Auto & components, Energy and Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.76% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 2.88% or 6.0 points to trade at 214.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV) added 2.85% or 2.30 points to end at 83.10 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was up 2.23% or 3.20 points to 147.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which fell 5.80% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.07 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 5.71% or 0.93 points to end at 15.35 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was down 3.79% or 2.75 points to 69.85.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 88 to 85 and 23 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.43% or 0.69 to $48.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.03% or 0.56 to hit $54.83 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.41% or 5.50 to trade at $1327.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.11% to 9.3874, while USD/NOK rose 0.67% to 7.8887.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.50% at 92.35.
