Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Borr Drilling Ltd (OL:BORR), which rose 5.05% or 2.85 points to trade at 59.25 at the close. Meanwhile, Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) added 2.79% or 8.30 points to end at 306.10 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS) was up 2.77% or 0.31 points to 11.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telenor ASA (OL:TEL), which fell 0.88% or 1.20 points to trade at 134.70 at the close. Nel ASA (OL:NEL) declined 0.53% or 0.03 points to end at 5.58 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) was down 0.50% or 0.50 points to 98.65.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 191 to 84 and 32 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.42% or 0.98 to $69.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.32% or 0.95 to hit $72.92 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.00% or 25.70 to trade at $2,606.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.55% to 11.80, while USD/NOK fell 0.63% to 10.64.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 100.97.
