Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS), which rose 4.81% or 0.50 points to trade at 10.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI) added 3.10% or 2.50 points to end at 83.15 and TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was up 1.87% or 2.40 points to 131.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO), which fell 0.78% or 0.90 points to trade at 114.30 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL) declined 0.27% or 0.35 points to end at 129.55 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) was down 0.27% or 0.25 points to 92.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 173 to 110 and 22 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.85% or 1.35 to $74.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.63% or 1.26 to hit $78.48 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.10% or 27.80 to trade at $2,544.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.29% to 11.75, while USD/NOK fell 0.81% to 10.51.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.61% at 100.78.
