Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.75% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO), which rose 5.37% or 14.00 points to trade at 274.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL) added 3.94% or 5.55 points to end at 146.30 and Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO) was up 3.61% or 4.20 points to 120.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS), which fell 4.24% or 0.49 points to trade at 10.95 at the close. Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM) declined 1.31% or 2.20 points to end at 165.80 and Var Energi ASA (OL:VAR) was down 0.76% or 0.27 points to 35.23.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 162 to 130 and 27 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.36% or 0.28 to $78.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.30% or 0.25 to hit $82.38 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.43% or 10.30 to trade at $2,388.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.79% to 11.95, while USD/NOK rose 0.53% to 10.98.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 104.07.
