Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Auto & components, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.72%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP), which rose 4.32% or 10.20 points to trade at 246.20 at the close. Meanwhile, SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) added 4.27% or 20.00 points to end at 488.00 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 4.18% or 0.59 points to 14.57 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 2.86% or 1.80 points to trade at 64.00 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 2.13% or 0.41 points to end at 18.60 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was down 1.09% or 0.45 points to 40.95.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 129 to 51 and 22 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.88% or 1.45 to $51.74 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.91% or 1.13 to hit $60.22 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.40 to trade at $1232.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.14% to 9.7143, while USD/NOK fell 0.27% to 8.5353.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 96.735.
