Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Energy, Media and Auto & components sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.70% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 6.62% or 14.9 points to trade at 239.9 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 3.23% or 0.61 points to end at 19.52 and Statoil ASA (OL:STL) was up 2.12% or 3.3 points to 159.1 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 6.32% or 4.35 points to trade at 64.47 at the close. Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) declined 1.54% or 1.00 points to end at 63.80 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was down 1.33% or 0.15 points to 11.17.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 92 to 84 and 28 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.97% or 1.00 to $51.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 2.27% or 1.28 to hit $57.70 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.83% or 10.72 to trade at $1308.22 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.48% to 9.2785, while USD/NOK rose 0.42% to 7.8335.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.54% at 92.45.
