Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Auto & components, Insurance and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.67% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which rose 6.44% or 2.13 points to trade at 35.18 at the close. Meanwhile, Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) added 4.13% or 2.65 points to end at 66.85 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 1.66% or 0.95 points to 58.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV), which fell 1.48% or 1.20 points to trade at 79.65 at the close. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) declined 1.44% or 3.20 points to end at 218.70 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) was down 1.20% or 4.30 points to 355.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 104 to 73 and 35 ended unchanged.
Shares in Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) rose to 5-year highs; rising 4.13% or 2.65 to 66.85.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.46% or 0.24 to $52.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.60% or 0.35 to hit $57.57 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.96% or 12.54 to trade at $1289.16 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.37% to 9.3420, while USD/NOK rose 0.75% to 7.9531.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 93.20.
