Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.66%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 4.01% or 0.22 points to trade at 5.65 at the close. Meanwhile, TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) added 3.00% or 3.60 points to end at 123.60 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 2.41% or 1.56 points to 66.38 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Borr Drilling Ltd (OL:BORR), which fell 2.25% or 1.50 points to trade at 65.30 at the close. Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG) declined 1.74% or 15.50 points to end at 876.50 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS) was down 0.68% or 0.09 points to 12.45.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 165 to 120 and 33 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.37% or 0.30 to $81.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.33% or 0.28 to hit $84.61 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.51% or 12.00 to trade at $2,343.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.27% to 11.32, while USD/NOK fell 0.07% to 10.55.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 105.17.
