Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Commercial Service And Supplies, Telecoms and Diversified Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Telenor ASA (OL:TEL), which rose 2.62% or 4.3 points to trade at 170.7 at the close. Meanwhile, Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 2.32% or 1.60 points to end at 70.60 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 1.80% or 0.27 points to 15.24 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which fell 5.30% or 0.04 points to trade at 0.72 at the close. Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI) declined 1.03% or 0.95 points to end at 91.25 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was down 0.78% or 1.90 points to 242.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 90 to 86 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) fell to 5-year lows; falling 5.30% or 0.04 to 0.72.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.51% or 0.38 to $73.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.22% or 0.17 to hit $77.13 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.33% or 16.50 to trade at $1258.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.30% to 9.4833, while USD/NOK fell 0.42% to 8.1388.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 94.37.
