Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Materials and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.61% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL), which rose 2.15% or 0.93 points to trade at 44.16 at the close. Meanwhile, Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) added 1.99% or 0.70 points to end at 35.83 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was up 1.88% or 0.38 points to 20.57 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 5.06% or 2.24 points to trade at 42.02 at the close. P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) declined 2.22% or 10.00 points to end at 440.40 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) was down 2.16% or 1.48 points to 67.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 133 to 86 and 19 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.00% or 0.59 to $59.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.76% or 0.51 to hit $67.67 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.15 to trade at $1302.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.42% to 9.6951, while USD/NOK rose 0.34% to 8.5567.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 96.042.
