Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Auto & components, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Diversified Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.61%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW Offshore Ltd (OL:BWO), which rose 10.50% or 3.550 points to trade at 37.350 at the close. Meanwhile, TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) added 4.87% or 11.6 points to end at 249.8 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was up 4.40% or 2.50 points to 59.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telenor ASA (OL:TEL), which fell 1.30% or 2.2 points to trade at 170.2 at the close. Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MOWI) declined 1.17% or 2.10 points to end at 176.90 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) was down 1.03% or 0.7 points to 63.6.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 118 to 65 and 30 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 2.89% or 1.40 to $49.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 2.56% or 1.47 to hit $58.80 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.33% or 4.25 to trade at $1285.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.03% to 9.7836, while USD/NOK rose 0.25% to 8.5509.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 95.500.
