Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Auto & components, Commercial Service And Supplies and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 4.27% or 1.40 points to trade at 34.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) added 1.44% or 1.70 points to end at 120.00 and Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) was up 1.22% or 0.25 points to 20.69 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which fell 3.85% or 0.05 points to trade at 1.15 at the close. Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) declined 3.13% or 1.75 points to end at 54.25 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was down 2.13% or 0.19 points to 8.71.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 95 to 86 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) rose to 52-week highs; rising 4.27% or 1.40 to 34.20. Shares in Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.44% or 1.70 to 120.00.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.47% or 0.66 to $45.49 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.52% or 0.72 to hit $47.98 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.44% or 5.95 to trade at $1348.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.06% to 9.2004, while USD/NOK rose 0.23% to 8.1883.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.20% at 94.99.
